The Khudoyar Khan Palace is the main architectural and historical landmark of the small Uzbek town of Kokand. Another, less popular name for the structure, which can be found in various sources, is Kokandskayaurda. The total area of the Khudoyar Khan palace is 4 hectares, the original length is 138 meters, and the width is 65. Due to the high 3-meter foundation, the building is equipped with a long ramp. Interesting fact: construction of the building began long before the reign and even before the birth of Khudoyar. The order to build the palace was given by the mother of Khan Muhammad Alikhan (the eighth ruler of the Uzbek Ming dynasty) Nadira. However, for unknown reasons, she was never able to complete what she started. Construction resumed only in 1863, and was completed in 1871. It was a large-scale construction project that involved 16 thousand people.
